Jacqueline Strollo Boone

Jacqueline (Jackie) Michele Strollo Boone, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully after an extended illness on May 20, 2025, at the age of 80. She was a quiet force of strength, sweetness, compassion, and grace whose warmth touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Born on June 21, 1944, in Washington, D.C., Jackie was the elder daughter of the late George Francis Strollo and Marian Whitaker Strollo. She grew up in Arlington, Virginia, and was a proud member of the first graduating class of Yorktown High School. Jackie went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Mary Washington in 1966. Jackie married Niles Michael Crouch that same year and spent five years supporting his Army career, relocating across the country before settling back in the D.C. area. In 1972, they welcomed daughter, Kimberly, and Jackie lovingly devoted herself to motherhood. After her divorce in 1977, Jackie re-entered the workforce in Washington, D.C., as a secretary at Dell, Craighill, Fentress & Benton. Her determination and talents led her to become the office manager of the firm, later known as ProServ, a leading provider of legal services to professional athletes, particularly tennis players. In 1985, Jackie married the love of her life, Ronald Palmer Boone. Together they built a beautiful life rooted in love, devotion, and mutual respect. That summer, they moved to Timonium, Maryland, where they bought their current residence, raised Kim and welcomed their son, Andrew, in 1986. Jackie’s career continued at Pot Spring Elementary, where she was a beloved administrative assistant before transitioning into bookkeeping roles at The Growing Up Shoppe and Bendann Art Gallery. She also participated in operating antique stores in Cockeysville and Towson, where her eye for country cottage style and vintage treasures truly shined. Her organizational skills were exceptional, and she used them to the advantage of others in both her private and professional lives, consistently leading family and workplace projects because of her unmatched skills. She had a deep, abiding love for dogs and a soft spot for the rescues no one else wanted; especially older dogs with health issues, adopting both a tripod and a blind senior lab retriever. Jackie gave them a home, her heart, and the very best life. Her sacrifices for the needy animals in her life was reflective of her spirit of giving and of the love and dedication to her family that was her highest priority. Jackie became the family matriarch after her mother’s passing. She provided loving and painstaking care for her parents in their later years, helping her mother who suffered from dementia, and later her 102-year-old father. She made weekly visits to assist with everything from household tasks to paperwork, never out of obligation, always out of love. Jackie is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Ronald Boone; her dear daughter Kimberly Michele Crouch and son-in-law Jack N. Crouch, and grandchildren Anne and Parker Holcomb; and her beloved son Andrew George Boone. She is also survived by her loving sister Laurie Anne Strollo and Laurie’s children, Emma, Daniel, and Julia Masterman. Jackie’s greatest joy was being with her family—the one she was born into and the one she built. She was the calm in the storm, the steady hand behind the scenes, and the heart of every home she touched. She was the consummate parent and created holidays and birthdays full of unique surprises and exciting fun. She continuously set her own needs aside to provide for those she loved and is cherished for her sweetness, grace, humor, humility, and unconditional love. Jackie was loved beyond measure. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A celebration of life service will be held to honor her memory at Timonium United Methodist Church 2300 Pot Spring Road Timonium, Md. 21093 on Saturday June 14, 2025 from 12-2 pm.. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Lab Rescue of Maryland in her name and encourages you to take a long walk with someone you love—or with a dog who needs one—and think of Jackie.
