History & Staff

We have years of experience caring for families, from all walks of life. Each family comes to us because they know we are leaders in our profession, dedicated to excellence in service, and have the highest integrity.

Our History

In 2007, John O. Mitchell III and John O. Mitchell IV, owners of the Mitchell-Wiedefeld Funeral Home, Inc. in Baltimore, purchased Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.  With it, they inherited the funeral establishment Brian T. Chisholm Funeral Services of Dulaney Valley, P.A.  That establishment is now owned and operated by the younger Mr. Mitchell as John O. Mitchell IV, Funeral Services of Dulaney Valley, P.A.  It is an “arrangements only” restricted funeral establishment, with no facilities on the premises for preparation of remains or viewings.  Viewings and/or services are conducted off-site and any preparation or holding of remains prior to burial or cremation takes place at Mitchell-Wiedefeld Funeral Home, Inc.
